Is it a miracle?

After the specialist said Henry had histiocytosis, we knew that was the death sentence for Berners. In fact, we were taking him home from the hospital to die. He was failing fast, and it seemed as if the other two dogs knew it and were being quiet and sad. So I went on the Internet and found the anti-cancer dog diet. It is high-protein and based on the fact that no wolves or coyotes suffer cancer. Henry perked up at meal time with the hamburgers, hot dogs, yogurt, and cheese. We noticed an improvement in his overall bearing as well. He seemed more alert, more lively, more noisy – he was getting back to normal. Then we got the test results. It was not histiocytosis after all, but lymphoma which is treatable.

I have to say that in addition to the high-protein diet, we began a regimen of prayer, including novenas to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I also asked all our friends to pray for Henry.

Henry has had two chemo treatments thus far, and his lymphoma lumps are completely gone to the touch. This is amazing, since the one on his neck looked like a fist-sized goiter. He is now jumping around and “killing” his toys, as well as barking his head off. The specialists say his response to treatment is remarkable.

But is it his response to treatment? Or is it that God led me to the anti-cancer diet to start his recovery? Or that PRAYERS WORK and we just got ourselves a miracle?

I don’t know how to prove it, but I think it is a miracle. Thank God for this blessing!
